An X-Men diorama lamp built in wood and epoxy resin, with Cyclops and Nightcrawler worked into the scene. The resin sits against natural wood grain, and once the LED is on the light moves through the poured layers so the figures and the optic blast read strongly against the timber. It is a superhero display piece and a working night light for a desk, a bedroom or a game room. The set includes the resin lamp, a magnetic wooden LED stand powered over USB, the USB cable for that stand, and a remote control; the remote takes a battery that is not supplied. The LED is 16-colour RGB at 5W and the colour can also be stepped through with the switch on the cable, so you can land on comic-book red or a cooler shade without reaching for the remote. Three sizes are available, each about 1.4 inches deep: S at 6.7 x 5.1 inches, M at 8.7 x 6.7 inches and L at 9.8 x 7.9 inches. Weight depends on the wood used, between roughly 1.15 and 3.42 pounds. Every lamp is handmade, so size can vary by about 0.2 to 0.4 inches and the wood may carry natural cracks and tone changes.
