A round-eyed black dragon perches inside this hand-poured block, wings tucked and tail curled, the kind of friendly Toothless-style companion that children recognise instantly. The epoxy around the figure is tinted in bright swirls that behave like sky or sea depending on which way the block is turned, and the piece is set on natural wood whose grain is left visible. Lit from below, warm LED light rises through the coloured resin and settles around the dragon, soft enough to leave on all night in a bedroom and bright enough to pick out the glossy polish on the surface. Size comes in three steps: Small at 6.8 by 5.2 inches, Medium at 8.8 by 5.7 inches, and Large at 10 by 8 inches, with the dragon scaled up accordingly. The build uses epoxy resin, natural wood, an LED unit, pigments and a protective clear topcoat, which is what keeps the face sharp and the edges glassy. Each lamp is poured and polished individually. Pigment swirl, dragon placement and wood figure vary from piece to piece, so the one that arrives belongs to whoever gets it.
