A starship hangs suspended in a galaxy poured from tinted epoxy, nacelles and saucer hull catching the light while nebula color bleeds through the resin behind it. The space field is built up in layers over a wood base, with fine star points trapped at several depths, so the ship genuinely floats inside the block instead of sitting against a printed sky. When the LED comes on from below, the darker pigment stays deep and smoky while the lighter swirls go luminous, giving the hull a cold rim of light along its leading edges. On a desk at night it behaves more like a window than a lamp. The Type axis picks which craft is embedded: Falcon, Falcon and Tie Fighter, Xwing 1, Xwing 2, Star Trek 1701S-1, or Star Trek 1701S-2.
