Each shallow socket is black and has a magnetic insert in the drive end to help hold fasteners. The sockets are made from chrome molybdenum (Cr-Mo) steel with a black phosphate finish, which the photos show as rust and corrosion resistant. Each size is marked with laser etching and roll stamping so the number stays readable.
