Hornet is posed mid-motion in this lamp, needle out and cloak sweeping behind her, set into clear epoxy above a wood base. The figure starts as a 3D-printed form that is washed, UV-cured, base-coated, and then hand-painted in layers down to details around a tenth of a millimeter, so the stitching on the cloak and the pale mask markings hold up when you look closely. After the resin is poured, the mold goes into a high-pressure chamber to drive out air bubbles, then the block is trimmed and taken through ten to twelve rounds of grinding and polishing to a mirror finish. Backlit, that clarity matters: the light passes straight through the resin and makes the cloak read like it is lifting in a draft. A single Size axis is on offer: S at 4.7 x 5.9 inches, M at 6.7 x 8.6 inches, and L at 8.2 x 10.3 inches. The larger blocks give the figure more surrounding resin, which exaggerates the depth effect and suits a shelf or a streaming backdrop, while the S size tucks neatly beside a keyboard. Built from epoxy resin and wood, every piece is inspected before it leaves the bench. These are handmade, so paint detail and polish will show tiny individual differences from lamp to lamp.
