Sauron stands within a ring of fire, armored and horned, the flame worked into the resin as orange and red streaks that climb the block around him. The figure holds detail down to the plates of the armor, and clear resin over natural wood keeps the composition tight. When the base lights up, the burning ring is what carries the piece: Middle-earth at its darkest, scaled down to fit a desk. Size M is 5.4 x 5.4 inches, Size L is 6.7 x 6.8 inches and Size XL is 7.7 x 7.8 inches, each with about 0.2 inches of tolerance. The RGB LED covers 16 color modes and answers to a remote, which requires a CR2025 or CR2032 battery that is not included; power is USB at 5VDC. Each lamp is hand-poured and hand-assembled, so flame patterns, pigment depth and wood grain are never duplicated.
