Inside this slab of poured epoxy stands a masked figure in a long cloak, the helmet modeled with its ridged breathing grille and the shoulders squared off like armor plate. Tinted resin layers sit behind the figure, so the LED light pooling up from the wood collects around the silhouette and gives it the backlit entrance that sci-fi cinema is remembered for. The plinth is natural wood with its grain left visible, deliberately rough against the polished front face of the resin. Choices are made on the SIZE axis, which runs M, L, XL and XXL. Each step adds height and presence to the resin body, and the quoted dimensions refer to that body alone rather than the base or stand, so the overall footprint sits a little taller. Because every piece is poured, sanded and polished by hand, allow approximately 0.3 to 0.7 inch of difference from the stated measurement. A thank-you card is also listed on the same axis as a standalone item. The lamp runs on a 5V USB supply. Wood and epoxy resin are the only materials. Handmade work means bubble patterns, pigment depth and wood tone shift from one lamp to the next.
