Handmade Kodama Resin Lamp, Japanese Forest Spirit Epoxy Art Light, UV LED Hexagonal Night Light, Gift for Her

Tiny forest spirits perch along mossy branches inside this hexagonal lamp, built from coffee wood, natural tree roots and clear epoxy poured around them. The roots keep their twisted shape under the resin, so the interior looks like a section cut from a damp forest floor rather than a modelled set. Two light sources sit in the base: a 5V white LED that opens up the fine detail of the wood and the little figures, and a UV element that makes the Kodama themselves glow once the room is dark, which is the effect that gives the piece its folklore feel. Two sizes are offered, 16 by 13 cm and 19 by 16 cm, each finished on a sturdy wooden base. The base can also be engraved: the Personalization box takes up to 20 characters, so a name, a short phrase or a date will fit. Wood is a found material here, so the root structure, the colour of the grain and the placement of each spirit are decided piece by piece during making. No two lamps repeat, which is part of why it works as a gift for anyone fond of Japanese mythology or quiet, strange objects.
