Below the surface, a great white rises out of open blue toward a scuba diver who hangs motionless with his fins trailing. The two are set at different depths inside the epoxy pour, which is what gives the scene its tension when you look at it from the side: the diver is close to the front face, the shark is still some way back in the resin. Natural wood carries the whole block, and the light coming up through it turns the clear sections into water. The Size axis gives three options: Size M at 5.5 x 5.2 inches, Size L at 7 x 6.5 inches and Size XL at 8 x 7.3 inches. Since the lamp is built entirely by hand, there is an error of about 0.5 to 1 cm in both the measurement and the exact outline of the piece. Included with the lamp is a USB cable, and the lighting is an RGB LED with 16 colors, so you can sit on a single cool blue for a diving look or cycle through the range. Wood and epoxy resin are the only materials, and each lamp is individually made, so no two scenes are identical.
