A colossal sandworm breaks through the dunes of a desert planet in this lit resin statue, jaws open above the sand line and scaled so the creature dwarfs everything around it. The scene is printed across several acrylic panels and layered with gaps between them, then sealed in clear resin, which gives the dunes distance and the worm real bulk. Sizes begin at about 4.3 by 2.7 by 1.7 inches and reach 9.6 by 5.8 by 3.1 inches for the extra large. The textured base is offered in black marble, maple wood, walnut wood or white stone, so the statue can sit against a shelf of science fiction paperbacks or a colder desk setup. Large and extra large add a choice of soft white light or multicolour modes. The light sits in the base and rises through the sculpture, catching the spice-coloured haze in the artwork and the ridges along the worm's body. Power is a 6 foot micro USB cable into any outlet or USB port, with a US wall adapter supplied on the two biggest sizes. Each statue is assembled by hand, so panel spacing and the finish of the base vary slightly.
