A hooded figure stands at the centre of this lamp, mask down and blade drawn, set into a block of epoxy resin that has been poured around a piece of aged wood. The wood gives the scene its rough ground and dark ceiling, while the resin holds the clear space the figure occupies, so the sculpture looks like a moment cut out of a much larger world.
