Cyclops leans into the shot with the optic blast tearing out of his visor, the beam rendered as a glowing band of resin that lights up with the lamp. The X-Men leader is caught mid-stride in a battle pose, held in clear epoxy over natural wood so the energy effect appears to burn straight through the block. Three sizes are available: M at roughly 6.3 by 4.7 inches, L at 7.9 by 5.8 inches and XL at 9.1 by 6.6 inches. The RGB LED runs sixteen colour modes with a remote control and takes 5V USB power, while the remote's CR2025 or CR2032 cell is not supplied. Because every piece is handmade, dimensions drift by about two tenths of an inch and the resin, paint and wood grain differ a little from lamp to lamp. For a Scott Summers fan, an X-Men collector or anyone building a comic book shelf, it is a display piece by day and a coloured ambient light after dark.
