Buster Sword Night Light, Final Fantasy VII Resin and Wood Lamp, Handcrafted Gaming Decor and Bookshelf Gift

The oversized blade of the Buster Sword rises out of a wooden base here, the resin around it tinted so a cool blue haze collects along the edge of the steel. Lit from below, the glow travels up the flat of the blade and leaves the grip in shadow, which is what gives the piece its ruined-battlefield look on a dark shelf. The Style axis holds two quite different objects. Buster Sword Lamp is the full lit sculpture; Buster Sword Egg is the smaller, lower-priced resin piece carrying the same blade motif. Both are built from resin and natural wood. Each one is made by hand, so a piece will not match the photographs exactly. Dimensions drift, the resin tint varies, and the wood can carry cracks or open grain, which is the nature of the material rather than damage; wood wax oil keeps it fed. Anyone expecting a machine-identical replica should look elsewhere. For a Final Fantasy VII player, though, it earns its space as bookshelf decor, dorm room lighting or a birthday gift that puts a bit of the game on the desk.
